Arizona State Seal of Arts Proficiency

The State Seal of Arts Proficiency is meant to... 
     celebrate students who demonstrate high levels of proficiency in the AZ Arts Education
     Standards through personal expression and creative experiences in arts education programs;
     identify pathways of artistic literacy that cultivate skills for 21st century success;
​     prepare students for college and career readiness, including active participation in the creative
     industries sector;
     promote increased access to well-rounded, high quality arts education across the state.
To receive this honor, students must meet the following requirements:
  1. Complete 4 credit in approved arts/CTE courses
  2. Achieve a 3.0-4.0 GPA in those arts/CTE courses
  3. Complete 80 hours of associated extra-curricular activities throughout high school
  4. Complete an associated senior capstone project

Laila is TTC's first ever STO and we are so excited to have her helping to lead Thespians for the State of Arizona!

Desert Vista's
​Performing Arts Academy

To earn a place in the DV Fine Arts Academy, students must take 6 arts classes in 4 years: 4 years of the same art (the student's "major") and 2 years of another art (the student's "minor").
​Students who complete this program will have it noted on their transcript and receive a medal to wear at graduation.
